Subject Introduction

Learning Objectives:
  • Operate computers with a Windows platform and use tablets for learning.
  • Learn a number of software packages for various purposes such as word-processing, spreadsheet and image or video editing.
  • Learn the usage of the Internet (email system or data collection) and the proper attitude for using the Internet.
  • The Jockey Club Computational Thinking Education Program (CoolThink@JC) is introduced to Primary 4 to Primary 6 to train students’ computational thinking skills and develop problem-solving skills.


School IT Measures / Strategies:

  • Include tablet apps' usage and information literacy.
  • Apply the I.T. skills in different subjects (e.g. Mathematics)
  • Advocate STEM education, add coding into curriculum, the Jockey Club Computational Thinking Education Programme (CoolThink@JC) is introduced to Primary 4 to Primary 6.
  • Set up a Wi-Fi network in school, allowing students to use their tablets for e-learning activities anywhere in the school.
