To build up students' positive attitude towards mathematics learning.
To guide students to learn a new concepts and calculation skills.
To cultivate students' ability to think critically and creatively, to conceptualize, inquire and reason mathematically.
To develop students' number sense, symbol sense, spatial sense and a sense of measurement as well as the capability of appreciating structures and patterns.
To enable students to cope confidently with the mathematics in their future studies, workplaces or daily life.
